What it notes for each order
- What they want and how much: the dishes, the products or the order, with quantities.
- For when: the day and time.
- How: whether it's for collection or delivery and, if it's delivery, the address.
- Who: their name and a phone number.
At the end it repeats everything back to check it's right, and tells them your team will confirm it. It doesn't treat the order as confirmed: you do that, because you know whether you can have it ready in time.
It knows what's on your menu
If your menu, your products or your prices are on your website or in a PDF, it learns them: it answers what's in each dish, how much it costs or whether there's anything gluten-free, without making up dishes or prices. What it doesn't know, it doesn't invent: it notes it in the order for you to answer.
With allergies, it does what you tell it. One of the rules the dashboard suggests: “When they ask about allergies or intolerances → say the staff will tell them about each dish, and note the allergy in the booking”.
Which businesses it's for
- Restaurants, grill houses and takeaways: orders for collection and deliveries.
- Cake shops, bakeries and patisseries: cakes and orders for specific days.
- Shops: products that need ordering or putting aside, with the phone number of whoever wants them.
- Any business that takes orders: florists, butchers, printers…
When they ask about an order
It also takes the “how's my order going?” calls. With the rule the dashboard has for shops, “When they ask about an order → ask for the order number or their name and a number, and say they'll be called with an update”, they're noted down with the order number, ready for you to reply.
What it leaves you
Each order reaches your dashboard with its summary, what you need to do and its details: name, phone number and, if you choose, the order or customer number, the preferred date and up to five details of your own, such as the delivery address. With a webhook, each order reaches the tool you use as soon as the call ends.
What it doesn't do yet
- Take payment: Voani can't take payments. Customers pay as usual, on your premises or on delivery.
- Put the order into your ordering software or your till: it leaves it in writing in the dashboard and, if you like, in a webhook.
- Connect to your number: coming very soon. Today you create it and try it from your browser.
