What an AI receptionist does
It picks up the calls you can't take and handles them as someone on your team would: it greets callers with your business's name, answers what they ask and notes down everything else so nothing gets lost. When the call ends, it leaves it all in writing for you.
- Answers with what it knows about your business, learnt from your website: opening hours, services, prices, directions.
- Takes down appointments, bookings and orders, with the caller's name and phone number.
- Flags anything urgent and anything that needs a reply from you.
- Never makes anything up: what it doesn't know, it notes down for you to answer, or it gives out the contact you choose.
- Sums up every call, with the caller's details and what you need to do.
It's not an answerphone: it's a conversation
It doesn't play a recorded message. It listens, stops as soon as it's interrupted and notices if the caller is in a hurry, upset or unsure, adapting what it says and how it says it. It speaks with natural, native voices, formally or informally, in Spanish, English, French, German or Italian. And if someone asks whether it's an AI, it says so naturally and carries on helping. For a detailed comparison, see Voani versus an answerphone.
What you teach it, in a few minutes
- Your business: you paste your website address and the AI writes its document with what it finds. You review it, fill in any gaps and, if your prices are in a PDF, you upload it.
- Your rules: instructions in the form “When… → say or do…”, such as “When they ask to speak to a person → take their name and number, and say they'll be called today”.
- Your hours: it knows the day and time at your business and can greet callers differently out of hours.
- The details you want: name, phone number, email, reason, order or customer number, preferred date and up to five of your own.
See it step by step in How it works.
What each call leaves you
In your dashboard, each call arrives with a summary written by the AI, what you need to do, the result (wants an appointment, resolved, for you…), the reason, the caller's mood and their details, which you can correct. If you have recording switched on, you also get the audio and the written conversation. Whatever it couldn't answer, you add to its document with one click, so it knows next time.
With Statistics you see why people call you and how calls end, and with a webhook you send each one to your own tools.
Which businesses it's for
For any business that answers the phone and can't always pick up: clinics, physiotherapy, vets, hairdressers, restaurants, garages, estate agents, professional firms, hotels and schools. See how it works in each one in Industries.
What it costs
0.13 € per minute of conversation, VAT included and billed by the second: a 1 minute 30 second call costs 19.5 cents. No compulsory monthly fee or commitment, and 20 free minutes to get started, no card needed. The full figures are in Pricing.
What it doesn't do yet
- Connect to your number: coming very soon. Today you create your AI receptionist and try it from your browser.
- Book appointments into your diary: it notes them down with all the details and your team confirms them.
- Put the call through to a person: it takes a note so you can call back.
